Plies - Goon Affiliated

"Goon Affiliated" is the fourth album by Plies. The first single was "Becky" which peaked at #32 on Billboard Rap charts, "She Got It Made" was his next single reaching as high as #17.

Justice League produced a few tracks on the album including "Rob Myself" which has a hardcore feel to it and a catchy chorus. They also did "All I Know", a song dedicated to the streets. It's an uptempo track with alot of bass in it.

Plies reached out to Zaytoven, the super producer who handles alot of artists in Atlanta including Gucci Mane & OJ Da Juiceman. The tracks he did with Zay are "Awesome" which is loaded with alot of brass, bass and hi-hats. The hook is pretty decent and Plies delivers better than average verses on this one. The other Zay produced song is "Bruh Bruh", this one fell very short. Skip over it.

The next two songs were produced by Big Jones, both of these songs are for the streets. "Get My Niggas Out" and "Flaw" are really hardcore songs. It's nice to Plies deviate from his regular plan of making songs specifically for the ladies.

ORDER IT But he doesnt forget the ladies, "Kitty Kitty" features Trey Songz and production by Fisha & Price. The only bright spot on this song is the hook by Trey, other than that its a forgettable performance.

Some more tracks dedicated to the ladies are "Goonette", "Good Dick" & "Model" which was produced by Fatboi who threw down a bangin track, but the hook on it is less than tight.

Young Jeezy and Fabolous are featured on "Look Like", this might end up being one of the next singles from the album. Comprised simply of a little bit of piano and alot of hi-hats, the beat is pretty simple. Young Jeezy steals the show and Fabolous also holds his own.

The album closes with "She Got It Made", which is the best song on the album as far as Radio is concerned. Produced by J League, it's a corny, but catchy remake of "Pina Colada" by Rupert Holmes and the hook is sung by Bei Major who you'll probably be hearing alot more of in the future.

There's 4 bonus tracks available on iTunes including "Chirpin", "Bricks On Me" which was produced by Zaytoven. "Letter" and "Medicine" Which was produced by Polow Da Don and features Keri Hilson.

Plies' fans will like this album as it's very similar to his previous albums, but the album is monotenous and trite with nothing original or exciting on it.
